Larger and less crowded than Nainital, Bhimtal is a tranquil lake surrounded by forested hills. A unique island in the centre of the lake houses an aquarium β€” one of the only such structures in India.

Enjoy boating, kayaking, birdwatching, and lakeside walks. The surrounding forest trails are excellent for nature walks and spotting Himalayan birds.
